Great idea for a blog!
Great first post too, although I'm not so sure I'm comfortable with the inclusion of the predicted stats. Something about my non-expert/non-specific understanding tells me that models like this will be highly dependent on their estimations of resource consumption, technological advances, etc, and I feel that such estimates might not be too much more than guess-work.
Of course, I could look into this by finding out where you got this information and compare the model's assumptions to those of the rest of the population modelling literature. If only I had some sort of network of interconnected information sources through which I could search...
